The Anime Nexus - Club Charter

Purpose:

The club serves as a way for fans of Japanese animation (anime) to get together to view anime, to discuss anime and other aspects of Japanese culture, and to share resources.

Conduct:

We expect members to be courteous to one another. We're here for fun and fellowship, so don't spoil it. Disruptive or offensive behavior will not be tolerated.

Screenings:

We plan to have a screening twice a month, but this may increase as circumstances allow. We will not be showing any R-rated (or equivalent, if unrated) movies, and absolutely *no* hentai. We want to show a variety of anime, and hopefully there will be something for everyone. However, due to our desire to expose our members to new and varied types of anime, we will rarely show episodes from series that are syndicated on televison.

Membership and Dues:

Minium age is 12. Those under the age of 16 will need parental permission. We will be showing a lot of PG and PG-13 rated videos, and we don't want any trouble with parents. You do not need to pay dues to become a member or to watch anime with us. However, there will be certain benefits to those who do pay. Dues payers may borrow from the club library. They will also be eligible to be officers. We may have other benefits for dues payers in the future. Dues are $5 per month.

Library:

Dues will be used to purchase library materials. Hence, borrowing from the library is a privledge extended to those who pay dues. Members who pay dues will discuss and vote on which purchases to make. Library materials shall include anime videos, manga (japanese comics), japanese language learning materials, and books on Japanese culture and history.
